Present Joys

“We thank the Lord of heaven and earth
who hath preserved us from our birth
for present joys, for blessings past,
and for the hope of heaven at last.”

It’s a new year again. I am very blessed to have spent the first day of 2015 with my dearest friends.

This is the only photo I remembered to take. But it’s a pretty good one, so I guess that’s okay.

After CROSS, my other family and I went to Andrew’s lake house on Candlewood Lake to celebrate the new year singing, praying, and partying. A wonderful way to start things.

I spent this past weekend with these people, my Other Family, and it was fantastically wonderful.

I spent the past couple days with my bible study group at a cabin by a lake, and it was truly one of the nicest weekends I’ve ever had. Yesterday was a perfect day:

  • 9:30am: wake up
  • 11am: brunch (I fried 18 eggs)
  • 12pm: hymn singing
  • 1pm: sledding (with some injuries)
  • 4pm: deep conversation + knitting
  • 6pm: dinner
  • 7pm: games
  • 9pm: prayer
  • 11:30pm: more hymn singing
  • 1:30am: sleep
