George Spencer Watson. Four Loves I found, a Woman, a Child, a Horse and a Hound. 1922. 142.2 x 195.6 cm.

Jerome Witkin. The act of Judith. 1979–80.
My freshman painting teacher introduced this painting to me and used it to teach color theory. I emailed him to ask what it was called because I couldn’t remember. He replied with the info I wanted and included a copy of the painting. It’s higher resolution than I could find online, so I thought I’d post it. It’s a really nice painting.

Thomas Eakins. John Biglin in a Single Scull, ca. 1873. 49.2 x 63.2 cm.
I’m researching watercolorists for a project, and I came across this amazing piece from Thomas “Gross-Clinic-guy” Eakins. This guy’s watercolor technique is incredible. And very unique, I think.
