What I did this week (6 sep 2013)
- Turned in my first jewelry assignment and had a crit about it. This, plus a very drawn-out tour of the reorganized jewelry lab, took up virtually the whole class time.
- Spent the entirety of our back-to-back 12:30–6:30pm Mohr classes actually in class. That’s a long time!
- Had a very sweet, thoughtful portfolio review then spent the other two-plus hours of Portfolio talking to Anna, Jen, Julia, Haley, and Audrey about life. Is all of senior year going to be like this?
- Had a dull wednesday morning in Branding, then crashed at the library to have lunch and do some work.
- Watched Fritz Lang’s M in History of Cinema. It was great, albeit a literal pain in the butt to sit in the Canzani auditorium in the dark for so long.
- Had a nice, laid-back thursday morning carving wax models of rings, then met my dear friend Chris for lunch at the Hills Market. A welcome diversion!
- Enjoyed another full thursday afternoon with back-to-back Mohr, though it was hard to get any real work done. Spent most of my time chatting with friends and half-heatedly working on sketches.
- Used the last two hours of Portfolio in the Canzani gallery listening to Vivien Goldman and Toby Mott talk about punk.
- Had a dysfunctional friday morning Branding class; the teacher was gone pretty much the whole time and left loose-cannon Brian Spain as his deputy. We pretty much ran the class ourselves and brainstormed with giant sticky notes.

Day 8: fri, 6 sep 2013. Jim Johnson made us discuss brand archetypes, and Brian Spain made us do it standing up.

Day 7: thu, 5 sep 2013. Evan plays deejay in senior ad class and drinks water from a box; Mr. Mohr photobombs gracefully.

Day 6: wed, 4 sep 2013. Writing a creative brief over lunch with Jen. Note the crunchy celery.

Day 5: tue, 3 sep 2013. First crit for Intermediate Jewelry; we made (almost) all the letters to spell out “jewelry and small metals”.
