Day 97: tue, 15 apr 2014. Finishing art school the way I started it: huffing Bestine.

Day 96: mon, 14 apr 2014. After waiting a half hour in vain for our teacher to show up, I force the class to pose for a group photo.

Day 95: thu, 10 apr 2014. I missed a couple days of school, but get back just in time to hear David Carson give a talk. Danielle and I share exciting career achievement stories.

Day 94: mon, 7 apr 2014. Though I was at school for ten hours today, I somehow managed to forget to take a photo until I was leaving. As penance, here is: unflattering self-portrait in the rain outside Beaton Hall.

We had a good run.

Today marks the end of my time in CCAD’s Saturday Morning Art Class program. After being a student for twelve years, I came to college here and have worked as a teaching assistant these past four years. And now I’m graduating. I will miss helping fifth-graders create. I will miss fighting a losing battle to organize art supplies in a cabinet. I will even miss the boring, mandatory, bi-yearly professional development meetings. Most of all, I will miss working with Derrick Ehlen—a dear friend and a very good teacher. The end is difficult.
