Remember when Noah and the Whale used to play fey banjo-glockenspiel music? It seems like ages and ages ago. With every release they seem to sound different, but it’s always pretty good music. Their new record, Last Night on Earth, out March 7, looks like it’ll be no exception.
The Stranger. Yes, Orson Welles does look freakishly like John Candy as Steve Roman, but even so this is a stellar movie. Great clothes (with a real New England proto-ivy style feel), great acting, and great directing. I’m no film buff, but this is the kind of movie that makes me want to study Welles’ directing techniques; there are many beautifully-done shots in this film. What’s not to love?
These cufflinks are really cool, not just because of the amusing imagery, but also because they give you something unique and interesting to look at on both sides of the cuff.
